NRIs worried about their parents living alone in unsafe concrete jungles are signing up for Rajiv Swagruha Corporation's new scheme to gift them flats in more peaceful and secure environs.The corporation is constructing an exclusive block named `Prashanti Enclave' in its Bandlaguda project to cater to the needs of 100 aged couples. It will construct a similar block shortly in Chandanagar project.
Many aged couples are living alone in flats grappling with loneliness and fears of safety. Some have chosen to move to old age homes but are miserable at their clinical ambience and lack of facilities.
